GEORGE W. DICKEN
Company C, 17th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry

Pvt. George W. Dicken was born in about 1836 near Calhoun, Ky. The son of Benjamin Dicken and Lucinda Chamberlin of Calhoun. He died at the military hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee on March 5, 1864 of valvular disease of the heart. He is buried in the National Cemetery in Knoxville. He, and his brother Amos B. Dicken, served in Company "C" 17th Kentucky Infantry. They are the brothers of Banister W. Dicken who served in Company "C" 26th Kentucky Infantry.
