Larkin Williams was enrolled in the 17th Infantry on September 6, 1861, amongst the first. He was mustered in on January 3, 1862 at Calhoun for a three year enlistment in Company A as a private. Was promoted on August 5th 1863 to Corporal He was discharged on Jan 23, 1865 in Louisville with his unit.

Corporal Williams is buried at Central Grove Church near Centertown, Ohio County, Ky [Barry Goodall]
