William Riley Bean

Private, Co G and F, 17th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry

William R. Bean enrolled in the 17th Infantry on October November 2, 1861 for a term of three years with two other Beans: Cortez and Curtis. They all mustered with Co. G on January 4, 1862 at Calhoun. The were transferred to Co F on 12 April 1862 by General Order No 74. They were discharged on January 23, 1865 at Louisville, Kentucky. His descendent, Byron Daniel byrondaniel@alltel.net wrote to say he has his military records, and photographs of the WR and his wife and his grave.
