Thomas D. Davis is shown in the AG Report to have joined the 17th on July 3, 1863 in Manchester, Tenn for a three year term. He was promoted from Commissary Sergeant to 2nd Lieutenant July 3, 1863. He resigned October 13, 1863 There are no other entries in the AG Report. However, it seems obvious he was in the field as an NCO before July 3rd.

Lived his entire life in Ohio County and is buried there at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. [Barry Goodall]
